A trans woman Vietnam War veteran seeks out an old Army friend she's always loved.
DIRECTOR'S STATEMENT
“I’m father to a gay son and daughter, and as hate crimes against the LGBQT community have increased both in numbers and severity, I worry for their security. And sadly, many suffer quietly, afraid to Be who they ARE.
The heart: love’s lowest common denominator. When they connect it is world-changing. Let no label or norm contradict, and certainly not forbid them of it. When the brain releases those precious chemicals as two hearts beat, well, it’s rare, and it’s beautiful…
… and it’s why I wrote MILLY & MILO.
Love will find those deserving of such a gift, regardless of age, gender, ethnicity, race, and beliefs. Milly and Milo had a chance at love 50 years ago, but the times weren’t kind to interracial relationships, and homosexual, at that.
What I hope to portray with MILLY & MILO is it’s OK to be afraid. It’s also OK to be bold. BE who you ARE and LOVE who you WANT.”

Introducing Bart McCarthy
as
Milo ~ Milosh “Milo” Paszek
A retired US Postmaster, he never took to any risk-taking in his life. Milo has always been there for anyone in need, even at the expense of self-neglect. Now he has a chance to do something for himself.
Among more standard roles, Bart has been delighted to play aliens, pirates and bad guys, as he had dreamed about doing when he was a kid growing up in Texas. He received his BS at University of Texas (Hook 'em Horns!) and his MFA at Brandeis (Mazel Tov!). Bart founded Boston Arts Group, an avant-garde theater complex, and was the award-winning Artistic Director of Synapse Dance Theater. His NEH funded one-man show, Lincoln Play, performed over 500 shows throughout New England and Great Britain. Bart has taught, among other subjects, Dance Improvisation at Goddard College, Vermont College, Lesley University, and independent studios. Besides authoring 18 produced plays, he still found time to direct and produce national college tours via American Program Bureau. He has worked in dozens of theaters from Boston's Charles Playhouse to the Los Angeles Opera Company, and of course, several Edinburgh Fringe Festivals. Screen acting details are listed here on IMDb, but it should be mentioned that Bart has also been seen in dozens of commercials, including at least six as George Washington.
